RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 launches worldwide on September 15, 2026. The release ends Steam Early Access, brings the game to consoles and additional PC storefronts, and adds the Scorned Wilderness finale of Kuldra's Saga.
This page tracks confirmed launch information. Mechanics, recipes, locations, and drop rates that Jagex has not published remain marked unknown until the released build can be checked.

Jagex has explicitly confirmed crossplay for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Switch 2 announcement confirms the same release date but does not separately confirm crossplay or cross-save.
What is included in 1.0?
- Scorned Wilderness, a vertically fractured high-end gauntlet.
- The final Kuldra encounter and conclusion of Kuldra's Saga.
- Runite and Rune armour progression.
- Black Dragonhide and Ancestral robes.
- Dragon equipment, including a Dragon Scimitar and Dragon Crossbow.
- The PL7 Masterwork Abyssal Whip rework.
- Further combat and movement changes announced during 0.12.1 development.

Price and editions
Jagex says the standard price will remain £24.99 or $29.99 when Early Access ends. The Digital Deluxe edition adds cosmetic armour, RuneScape-inspired helmets, paintings, dragon-head mounts, and animated decorations. Jagex states that its wearable Deluxe items are side-grades rather than paid combat advantages.
Existing Steam owners can purchase a separate Digital Deluxe upgrade at 1.0. A Steam purchase does not automatically grant a Jagex Launcher copy because they are separate platforms.
Should existing players restart?
Jagex has not announced a mandatory character or world reset. Back up important local and dedicated-server saves before updating, then read the launch notes for migration warnings. Do not delete a working world based on speculation.
Launch-day checklist
- Back up local or dedicated-server worlds.
- Update the game and server to matching versions.
- Read the official patch notes for save and recipe changes.
- Confirm converted items, especially the Abyssal Whip.
- Repair an Umbral-tier loadout and stock flexible food, runes, and ammunition.
- Enter Scorned Wilderness with free inventory space.
- Verify new recipes and drops before spending rare materials.
What comes after launch?
Jagex says Dragonwilds will continue receiving monthly updates after 1.0. The next named major update is Luminance, planned for winter and provided as a free update. More about the 2027 roadmap and the next Ashenfall saga is expected after launch.
